I work with a Belgian Malinois named K-line, who was basically a one-dog whirlwind of reactivity: cars, bikes, leaves… you name it, she barked at it. We started training when she was about six months old, and I quickly realized this wasn’t about training her… it was about training me to be a better handler.

Lou’s approach is smart, practical, and actually fun (yes, using an e-collar responsibly can be a game-changer!). K-line learned recall, how to stay on her bed like a proper lady, calm walks, and off-leash manners — and I learned how to handle her high-energy Malinois self without losing my sanity.

Now, off-leash walks are enjoyable, she actually listens, and I even find myself inspired to help other dog owners handle their wild ones. Huge Thanks to Lou and Mango Dogs — highly recommended if your dog thinks the world is a constant stimulus buffet!
