Ted, from Mango Dogs, was a game changer for me when it came to my german shepherd Lexi’s behavior. I would recommend Ted to anyone, any day.

Lexi started becoming very reactive on a leash and reacting poorly to other dogs off leash when she was 1 yr. She would lunge and bark aggressively at people, particularly children, dogs, etc. She would understandably scare people, being a very large dog. She wasn’t reliable off leash and would sometimes lash out at other dogs. I was unconsciously changing my life to walk her at “low traffic times” in the neighborhood, super early or super late. She was also crazy in the car. I couldn’t take her anywhere. I thought I could still keep her under control and that everything would be fine. I realized I couldn’t keep going with her like this, and needed specialized help, when she got away and hurt another dog.

Since I have enlisted Mango Dog’s services, Lexi is behaving and reacting so much better to her environment. I no longer have to brace with the leash when I see children or dogs on the streets. I can walk her any time anywhere. She is also very reliable off leash and I never have to worry about her running off after a squirrel in the street, another dog, people or bikes.

It took me way too long to realize my dog needed extra help. I went to puppy classes and agility classes repetitively hoping more dog exposure would settle her down. Looking back, I wish I had asked for Mango Dogs’ help 2-3 years prior. I would have saved myself a lot of stress and problems and Lexi would have had a better time. I would recommend Mango Dogs to anyone with a dog really. They adapt to what you need and provide results. They did a great job with Lexi and I and I am very pleased with the results. Thank you Ted!

K-Line

I work with a Belgian Malinois named K-line, who was basically a one-dog whirlwind of reactivity: cars, bikes, leaves… you name it, she barked at it. We started training when she was about six months old, and I quickly realized this wasn’t about training her… it was about training me to be a better handler.
